Inspired by the Mushroom Yakitori served at Forge & Vine, we created this recipe at home as a delicious, creative way to enjoy King Trumpets.
Directions
Slice King Trumpets lengthwise into slabs with a mandolin. Approx 1/8” thick.
Add all ingredients to a skillet. Cover with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes, until mushrooms are soft.
Remove mushroom slices to a plate to cool.
Reduce the liquid to a thick sauce.
Weave mushrooms slices onto skewers.
Grill skewers for 5 minutes/side, until crispy. Baste with reduction.
Serve with rice and fresh veggies.
Recipe Note
Add seasonal fresh veggies to your skewers, such as green onions, zucchini, or peppers.
