How to Clean and Store

How to Store:

Once you purchase our delicious mushrooms or harvest your own beautiful mushrooms, you will want to store them properly to preserve maximum nutrition and flavor.

The very best way to store your mushrooms is in a paper bag in the refrigerator. The paper bag creates the perfect balance of humidity and fresh air.

If this isn’t an option, the next best way to store them is in an open container. Place a towel in the container to absorb any excess moisture and then place your mushrooms on the towel and in the refrigerator.

Whether you store your mushrooms in a paper bag or in an open container, you will notice they start to dry after a few days.

This is perfectly fine. You now have dried mushrooms that can still be cooked and added to a soup or sauce to re-hydrate.

How to Clean:

You will notice our mushrooms are extremely clean because they are grown indoors.

We recommend brushing off any dirt with a towel or a very light rinse. Do not dunk or soak the mushrooms in water.

They are extremely porous and will soak up water and that water will be released during cooking, making your final dish watery.
